ok new entry for a new blog

OK I am doing this just so I can say I have posted here. As you can see I have moved servers for my blog. Eventually I will probably move my entire site. But for now the site content is still on the old server. Of course just be sure to bookmark www.wyldrob.com for my main site and blog.wyldrob.com for my blog. That will get you where you need to be. That's all for tonight I guess. Well at least for now. I have other things that need to be done - like getting the rest of my comments imported to here. That's a task I tell you. And I still don't know wtf I am doing.. rofl

ahh

OK, I am sitting here all alone because everyone deserted me tonight. I can't imagine why! It is only 1120 for crying out loud! And you people know you have no school or work tomorrow. Well I don't have work tomorrow either. I do have an appointment in the morning with the eye doctor. That should be fun. Last couple of times they dilated my eyes they stayed that way for like 10 hours or so. I am hoping that isn't he case tomorrow. But you never know. And if it is the case tomorrow, you won't see much of me online.

I did call Rubenia this evening after I found out I was off tomorrow. I told her that I would try to meet up with her tomorrow evening for supper or something. And for those who don't know the difference between lunch, dinner, and supper I will explain. OK, lunch is generally your mid-day meal. Dinner can be a synonym for lunch or it can mean the evening or late day meal. Supper always means your late day or evening meal! I just couldn't resist putting that in here! Actually I am not sure I will eat supper out somewhere, but I will almost for certain meet up for a drink or two. Supper at the Outback is a bit pricey right now. I've just spent a shitload of money over the weekend and there is no telling how much the blood suckers (aka doctor's) will want out of me tomorrrow. I just hate to see what new glasses will cost!

And look, Mike just signed back on. I guess he just couldn't leave me after all!

finished for tonight

OK, I am finished for tonight. I think I got all the colors and such in order for Jason's blog. I think he's very pleased. I know I am. I think the colors turned out very nice. Go take a look and then come back here and let me know what you think. http://jason.compgeek1221.dyndns.org/ Of course you have to read the post he just put on there too. I am sure you will all be pleasantly surprised with our new stuff.

I have to do his scrollbars later. He wanted me to do them tonight I think, but I am really too tired. So I'll do that some time in the near future. I also have to figure out how to change the "submit" button his has on there. He wants it colorized too. I don't think it's very difficult to do, I just can't remember how to do it. I'll have to go look it up somewhere! Of course if anyone who reads this knows how do that, you could save me a lot of time by just posting it here :-)

end of playtime

The weekend is coming to a close. It was not a bad one by far. I did get several things accomplished. I worked on the lawn mower yesterday and got it running. Of course that meant I had to go ahead and mow the lawn. I even managed to ride my bike for a little while yesterday.

I had to work on my car a bit too. I had a problem with the tail and brake lights. I put in new sockets for them, but then I ran into another problem - a sensor. So I had to wire them up to bypass it. The bad thing about that is it makes my light stay on inside the car saying I have a brake light out. I hate to see how much the damn little sensor will cost. I will try to get by the Honda place sometime this week to find out.

I cooked a decent supper last night for Jason and myself. We had cream cheese stuffed chicken, macaroni and cheese, and cauliflower. It turned out very well. That was a good thing being that it has been a long time since I have cooked any of that stuff. Even Jason helped a tad - he grated the cheese! LOL One of these days he might pick up some of my culinary skills. I certainly hope he gets some from someone. If not, he's going to be in trouble when he moves out on his own. Well, unless he gets himself a cook! LOL

We managed to go to the Outback for supper tonight. I think Jason had too many margaritas this time. I think a bit more and he would have been ready to hug the porcelain god! Luckily he cut himself off before he got too bad. I managed to come home and sit around for a while afterward. I did bake a German chocolate cake tonight though!

I have to go into work two hours early tomorrow. I am covering for a coworker. She's going to cover for me two hours on Friday. So that gives me a little extra time Friday to do whatever. I am not sure what sort of trouble I'll get into that day!

a must read

Yeah this is a must read. I got my new Advocate in the mail last night. I sat down and started reading. Of course it does help that a cutie like Hal Sparks is on the cover, and also appears in the magazine wearing nothing but a pride flag! And this guy is straight people! But he's also a riot. I say take a few minutes from your busy schedule and go read the story. I am sure if you are a conservative, it will really piss you off at some of the stuff he says. That's all the more reason to read it though! You know you wanna! LOL

http://www.advocate.com/html/stories/911/911_sparks.asp

Of course let me know what you think!

Bored

I'm sitting here kind of bored. Jason's still asleep. I have a feeling he won't be up before I even leave for work. There is no telling.

We spent the afternoon together yesterday. I managed to go see the lab where he spends lots of time working. Kind of interesting although I don't understand any of it! LOL We had lunch at Rhineharts. Of course that food is always good. I will have to say that there were some idiots out yesterday. We were leaving Rhineharts about the time that school got out. I had to put up with the teenage drivers - and some of which justa can't drive or either just don't pay enough attention to what the fuck they are doing. I almost got hit by them once or twice. I really don't think I was that bad when I that age. I certainly hope not!

I just found out that I have a problem with my new checkcard. This is a big problem because I have internet stuff that charges that fucker each month. And all that is about to be charged! I know I called to activate it, but I have no clue what the problem is. I am gonna have to call the bank Monday. They better not give me any shit or else I will just stop using their bank! I am sure they don't really care about that too much anyway!

Well I must go and get some lunch. Not sure what I'll have yet though.

Site of the day

My site got put in "Little Johnny Joke of the Day". Needless to say that made me happy! I made an impression upon someone enough to where they put the link in the mailing for the world to see. It will be interesting to see how many visitors I get.

Of course when I read this last night after work I though "Oh shit, I have to get those two pages up that are down!" So I sat here til 3AM working on those two. I think they turned out ok for now. I will work on them more later. I have some ideas I want to implement. So I'll let you know when I do that. In the meantime, just know that I finally took off the "Under Construction" pages. I know that was annoying!

I have to go post a reply to Jason's Blog. I got to let him know that I still read it!

Home Automation

Raise your hand if you can tell me what Home Automation is! I recently installed some of these devices in my house. It makes it so nice. I can turn lights on and off via a remote or the computer. The only drawback is that I must turn on my living room lights via remote or computer now. I have no overhead light in there, only floor lamps. I need to get a wall mount switch that will control them. I will put that on my next order of stuff. I have to get a few more switches anyway. IT does make it a lot easier coming home at night now. I no longer have to leave the bathroom light on when I go to work or off somewhere. I can just my pocket remote and turn the lights on before I walk in the house.

The next step I am going to take - when money permits - is to experiment with those nifty little cameras. Of course that will be months, maybe years away as I don't have money to blow on that right now. Besides I got to spend my money on other things.

I am hoping in the upcoming week to finally put the truck in the shop. I hope it doesn't cost too much to fix. But there is no telling. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I am also trying to gather ideas about Jason's graduation shindig. I am unsure where to even host it. Ideas anyone? This also brings up the topic of what to get him for graduation. This is something that I'll have to think about a while.

Well I think I am going to finish my rum and coke and head off to bed. I feel the need to sleep for like 14 hours!! OF course I doubt that will happen. Who knows though!

AP Story

Here's a story picked up by the AP. I thought it was amusing. I can't imagine what this poor lady must have felt when this happened. What is this world coming to when police can get search warrants based on your electric bill? That's just fucked up!! Go read the story here http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&e=2&u=/ap/electricity_probe

xhtml

So who has any dealings with XHTML? Well it seems that is what this blog uses to code my pages. That isn't a bad thing because MT does a great job for what I need. The only problem that I have found, and I just found it today is the fact that since the scrollbar color changes (only for IE 5.5 or higher) will not work. So I had to adjust my site's output just a tad. Does anyone have any problems with it? I know the text is a little larger now. But that is the best I can do for now. IT might help anyway, makes things easier to read. But I did get my scrollbars working correctly. I also adjusted my links a tad, I had a few minor problems with those. But they are all better now!

out of work

Yep, that's right I am out of work for the second week in a row. I am not sure when I'll go back. I'm experiencing problems with my knee - once again. This time it's worse than before.

This does give me a break from all the bullshit up there. I know I'll be out this week and next week too. I have another doctor's appointment next week - this time with an orthopedic doctor. That should be nice and painful!

Not much else going on at any rate. I am told to stay off my feet as much as possible. And now with not actually working, I'll have to stay the hell out of the Outback! I can't be spending extra money in there when things are about to become really tight. Now if you want to come take me out somewhere, I'll be happy to let you!

no meaning

Of course you might be asking yourself about the meaning of lyrics I post on here. Well most of the time they're not meaning anything. It's mostly songs that I am listening to at the time. Of course if there was any meaning behind them, I'd post that as well.

Well Easter weekend approaches. I wanted to go visit my sister who lives in Savannah this weekend. But with my knee the way it is, I can't see making a road trip right now. So like a lot of other things that trip is being put on hold.

Not much else going on at this hour. I am sitting here kind of bored actually. Maybe something exciting will happen.... I am trying to persuade CC to come visit and get drunk with me! LOL

April 15, 2004

Insomnia

Yeah that's right, it's been a rough few days. Last night I couldn't go to sleep until about 7 AM. Well tonight as tired as I was it took a while to go to sleep. I did manage to get there though. But I woke at about 4:30AM and have been unable to go back to sleep as of yet. And now there is really is no need in trying.

I have to be at the doctor's office at 8:15 this morning. This should be fun. I am kind of interested in knowing what he has to say is wrong with my knee. It will also be interesting to see when he says I'll be able to go back to work. I think I need about another week before I go back myself! LOL. I know as of right now, the more I stand on it, the more it hurts.

And if you have anything on my site bookmarked, you might want to change your bookmarks. I no longer have the subdomain of blog (http://blog.wyldrob.com) I might go back and set it up, but not right now. Everything should be bookmarked to www.wyldrob.com. I think I have all the DNS shit fixed so now that you won't get a "hosted here" page at GoDaddy when typing in that url. If you notice any problems here, let me know by posting here or emailing me.

Outback

Yep yep, I visited the OB twice over the weekend. Rubenia, Millard and myself met up Friday evening and had a blast. I ran into a couple of people from SKF there too. I mean I am on medical leave, so what can they do? They can't expect me to sit home all the time just cause I can't work, can they? Oh well, I am not going to worry about it. Rubenia and I met up there again last night. Needless to say it was not packed. There were empty seats everywhere. We still managed to have a good time though.

I'm sitting here waiting on the QAF season 4 episode 1 to completely download. I have been waiting almost a year on this damn thing. So it should be interesting to see what happens. I am trying to get all the episodes and get Jason to watch them. I think he'll enjoy them. We'll see though.

I still want to see The Whole Ten Yards. I have a feeling it won't play in the theater much longer. I hope Jason feels better later this week so we can go see it. I have to get him to watch The Whole Nine Yards first though. I am not sure if he'll like it or not. Hopefully he will though.

I have to go back to the doctor Thursday. I will hopefully know more about why my knee is hurting. And there is no telling when I'll go back to work. I could use another month off! LOL

Up and running

::Currently listening to: Linkin Park - In The End::

After working and more work the new jokes blog is up and running. We (Jason and I ) decided that it will be linked from both of our sites. The content will be the same, but if you go from my site you will see my colors and his colors when you link from his site. Other than that it's gonna be the same. As of right now, he doesn't have his end set up. I think I have all the kinks worked out for the most part. We have went in and added a bunch of jokes already. Since it is category based, you will not be able to search by the date added. I don't think you'll want to do that anyway. We have talked about adding a "rating" system to the jokes where visitors can rate them, but we have not implemented that yet. I am not even sure we will put it on there. I am going to still put some stuff on my other jokes page every now and then. I have not decided exactly how I will do it, but it's going to be slightly different. Perhaps I'll put a few funny pics on it and change them every now and then. I am also going to borrow Jason's QOTD to put on here somewhere. I am thinking we might put it on the actual jokes page, but I am not sure yet.

I am still trying to come up with some other ideas to put on the site, but I am not sure what I'll do just yet. I know I need to change pics on here. Those pics of me on the bio page are pretty fucking old! LOL So I will try to get around to changing them pretty soon. I have to find some decent ones to put up there. Oh well it's getting close to bedtime!

Oh yeah, the new jokes page is http://www.wyldrob.com/jokes/

Mexican Dinner

::Currently listening to: The Offspring - The Worst Hangover Ever::

Never go to the Mexican place on Tuesday night. It must be kids night or something. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't mind children at all, but most of these were screaming and/or pitching a fit about something. Oh well at least he food was good.

I dropped in to visit with Caroline last night as well. I thought she'd come to see me by now but no avail. Anyway it was nice to see her again. Maybe it won't be as long before I see her again.

I only slept about four hours last night and it's telling on me. I got up to take Daddy's car to have brakes put on it. I am sitting here now waiting on them to call and tell me to come pick it up. Just my luck, they'll wait til I'm asleep before they call.

Well that's all for now, I'm too damn tired to think of what else I want to write!

May 1, 2004

up and running

::Currently listening to: Hoobastank - The Reason::
Yeah, Jason and I finally got my new router PC up and running yesterday. I am not sure exactly what the problem was. I think it had something to do with a hard drive that was failing. But after a few hours of trying this and that, it started working.

Regina was nice this evening. She cooked some barbecue chicken and invited me to have supper with them. Not too bad, but I had eaten a sausage dog like 30 minutes before she called so I wasn't hungry. But I did bring home some chicken, so I'll have that later.

I have about a week before I go back to work. I am not sure how things will go. I heard there might some some changes in the time we work but I have been unable to confirm anything right now. I will have to find out for sure this week though.

Heavy Accents

::Currently listening to: Bon Jovi - Stick To Your Guns::
Don't you just love it when you call tech support and you get someone with a heavy accent. Well that I can deal with, but what I do have a problem with is someone talking to me like I am a fucking idiot. My DSL went down a little while ago and I had to call BS to get it fixed. Well that isn't too bad either than that means I have to route the modem back to the windows machine so I can access the actual modem - normall I have it connected directly to my Linux router. Anyways, I tell the guy that I am looking at the modem page and what I've done on my end before I ever bothered to call him. He had me do the exactly fucking thing I had just done before he would even try a line test or whatever it was to correct the problem. I mean how many times should have to reset the damn modem in order for it to work. This is not the really bad thing. The really bad thing is that he is telling me to update my firmware to a newer version - a version for the 2200 model modem and I have a 2100. I asked him about it and he's like it's ok. So I am about to click the download button to update it and he tells me no don't update it. I didn't think I should anyway. Most everyone knows when you start messing with firmware upgrades if you don't have the right one and get it to actually install it can render the device unusable. I am thinking that perhaps they need to teach their techs better before they jump the gun. He did say that there should be a firmware for my modem in the next few days. We'll see! I am not holding my breath yet. I mean hell they are also supposed to have a higher speed DSL available to me pretty soon. But I am not holding my breath on it either.

OK, I am getting off my soapbox now! On a better note, Jason and I spent most of the weekend together so that was good. We have to find a way to get my router PC to actually access the actual modem web page. I will need it again in a few days (if that firmware upgrade gets released). It's no fun having to unplug the modem from this machine and replug into the Windows machine. So hopefully we'll get that fixed.

I've got one more week before I go back to work. SO I have to enjoy it as much as possible! I have some things I want to do around the house. Who wants to help me come paint? I didn't think I'd have any volunteers! Well, I need to get my ass off here and go to bed.

Graduation and scratches

::Currently listening to: Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything About You::
Yep, the graduation is finally over - Jason's graduation that is. I don't know if I would ever go to college and be able to finish. I would probably bitch-slap a teacher or two if I had to put up with some of that shit! Seeing him complete that journey does kind of make me wish I would go back, but I am not at a point where I can do that just yet. Now if I had someone to help support me while I went I think I might could do it. I just don't think working full time and going to school part time would work too well for me. I think I would rather go full time and get it the hell over with! We'll have to wait and see where the road takes us

It was definately weird going to work on a Sunday. I have not had to do that since last year! I am not too fond of working all these seven-day weeks either. But at least it will give me some extra money. And I need all the extra money I can get. Hell, I have to buy a few things, like new lenses for my glasses! Yeah, somewhere between Jason's house and getting in the car I managed to put a big damn scratch on my glasses. Now it's driving me crazy. I should have them fixed by Wednesday or Thursday though. They say they'll be in Wednesday but I have my doubts that I actually get them back that day!

History lesson

Here is a history lesson on the word "fuck" This was originally written by Monty Python (not by George Carlin as some have said!)

Perhaps one of the most interesting words in the English language today, is the word fuck. Of all the English words beginning with f, fuck is the single one referred to as the "f-word". It's the one magical word. Just by it's sound it can describe pain, pleasure, hate and love. Fuck, as most of the other words in English, has arrived from Germany. Fuck from German's "fliechen" which mean to strike. In English, fuck folds into many grammatical categories. As a transitive verb for instance, "John fucked Shirley". As an intransitive verb; "Shirley fucks". It's meaning is not always sexual, it can be used as an adjective such as: "John's doing all the fucking work." As part of an adverb; "Shirley talks too fucking much", as an adverb enhancing an adjective; Shirley is fucking beautiful. As a noun; "I don't give a fuck". As part of a word: "abso-fucking-lutely" or "in-fucking-credible". Or as almost every word in a sentence: "fuck the fucking fuckers!". As you must realize, there aren't many words with the versitility such as the word fuck,as in these examples used as the following words;
- fraud: "I got fucked at the used car lot"
- trouble: "I guess I'm really fucked now"
- dismay: "Oh, fuck it!"
- aggresion: "don't fuck with me, buddy!"
- difficulty: "I don't understand this fucking question"
- inquery: "who the fuck was that?"
- dissatisfaction: "I don't like what the fuck is going on here"
- incompetence: "he's a fuck-off!"
- dismissal: "why don't you go outside and play hide-and-go fuck yourself?"

I'm sure you can think of many more examples.
With all these multipurpoused applications, how can anyone be offended when you use the word?
Use this unique, flexibel word more often in your daily speech. It will identify the quality of your character immediately. Say it loudly and proudly:
FUCK YOU!

much deserved weekend

::Currently listening to: Eagles - I Can't Tell You Why::
Well I am sitting here at my mothers's house playing on here computers. She was saying that she was having various problems with them. So I am here to fix them. At least I hope that is!

SKF was nice to use this weekend. They gave us the entire weekend off. We even have Memorial Day as well. So I came here the first day. I probably would not have came if Regina was not coming as well. They are outside cleaning out the hole that used to be the pool. Mama is going to have it repaired and open it once again for relaxation. I told them that I had work to do in here. I don't think they are too happy, but honestly I didn't dress to do all that. And if they hold it against me, so be it. It wouldn't be the first time. But honestly after working so many days with no day off I need a break! And I'm sorry if that seems too selfish, but dammit this will be the only time I have off until the end of June more than likely. So everyone better be ready to celebrate my birthday. If you don't know when it is, ask Jason! I certainly don't think he would forget when it is. He certainly better not forget!

I am not sure exactly what I'll do Sunday and Monday. I know I need to clean up the house, so I am thinking I'l spend some time tomorrow doing that. Monday I would like to grill out, but I am not sure if it'll happen or not. Only time will tell. Well I guess I better go find something constructive to do. I need to go find something to eat as, I have not eaten since I got that biscuit at Popeye's this morning. Wish me a safe trip back home!

Something wicked is getting closer

::Currently listening to: Audioslave - Like A Stone::
Yep yep, in less than 48 hours, I'll be sitting in the dark theatre with Jason watching Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban ! You know I just can't wait either. What I'll be more glad about is to see the next Harry Potter book get released. I have not heard any updates on it.

I guess I need to update on the weekend and stuff since I have not posted since last week. SKF was nice enough to let us have a three day weekend. I really enjoyed most of it. I went to Mama's on Saturday - oh yeah I posted that already. Sunday I laid around a good bit and went to the Outback that night with Jason and Cambiz. Millard would have probably joined us if he had not had prior engagements. Rubenia would have joined us.. well I don't know if she would have or not! You can never tell with that woman.

Monday we grilled pc's - that's pork chops for people who never heard that before. They were pretty good. Actually Regina did most of the cooking. I can't complain though, it was very good and nice of her to be so helpful. My duty involved going to the grocery store!

Tuesday was supposed to be a day of big changes at work. Honestly nothing has really changed yet. Although, I am being moved from assembly to turning. That isn't such a bad thing. But I had finally gotten used to working in assembly. I think I just liked the fact that most everyone up there relied on me a good bit. Things will be different in turning that is for sure. And at the end of next month, there is no telling where I'll be. I might not even be on the same channel; I might get shipped off to another channel! I'll have to wait and see.

I took my car in Tuesday to have the A/C fixed. I just knew I was going to have a new compressor put on that thing. Luckily for me that it was only some wiring and was less than $100 to fix. I like things like that. That will help me put some money toward that damn windshield I have to purchase. I will do that in a few weeks. Somehow last week that fucker got a big ass crack in it. I am just glad it's on the passenger side and not the driver's side.

Dana has been chosen to play All-stars for softball I am really proud of her. The games will take place at the end of June if I am not mistaken. Unfortunately I will probably miss them because of my work schedule. She is also going to be playing travel ball with a team based out of Aiken. I was nice and give her one-fourth of the money she needs to play that. I know things will be difficult for them this summer. Regina still has no job and Ben's company thinks he can live on 32 hours a week. Hopefully he'll find something else. From what I understand he has been looking. I think this is the first time I've ever known him to look for another job - he's been working at the same place for like 15 years or more! But he's finally getting fed up with their stupid shit.

OK that's it for now. I am still excited about Friday night. Hopefully nothing will get in the way of my plans!

June 4, 2004

the day has arrived

::Currently listening to: course of nature - wall of shame::

Yep June 4th is finally here! And you know what that means? Yes, it's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban release day! Although I would have loved to go see the 10AM showing, SKF decided they needed to make our fucking safety meeting today. So I have to be at work early and couldn't have made it to work in time. That's ok though, Jason and I are going tonight when I get off work. I just can't wait! I just hope the theatre isn't too packed.

June 5, 2004

I managed....

::Currently listening to: INXS - What You Need::

Yeah, I managed to go see Harry Potter 3 last night. It was pretty good. I will have to say the book was much better. I know that usually goes without saying. However, with the first two movies it was really nice to see how they stayed to the book to life. I enjoyed the first two movies better. Maybe I will like the third one better after I see it another time or two. And I am sure I will. I just think there were too many changes from the first two movies. It seems that even the layout of Hogwarts itself was a tad different. It was still a good movie though, and I do recommend you go see it!

Well I have only two more days of second shift left. Starting Monday I have to work 12-hour night shift. That is from 7PM until 7:15 AM. That should be really fun. This is a warning to everyone now, you better not be calling me during the day and waking me! If you do so, I will assume you have an emergency. And if you don't have an emergency, you will get a good telling-off! Because I certainly won't be nice about it. I know the money's gonna be good working all those hours, but I am going to be one tired mofo! If I do manage to have the weekends off, I won't do much because I'll be too damn tired! I just hope it doesn't drain me to exhaustion. It's only going to be three weeks at the most. I just don't want to have to work every day for twelve hours, that is going to be too damn much.

I don't know when I am going to find time to do stuff around here. For instance right now my grass is getting close to knee high. I am going to try and get up early in the morning to cut it. We'll see though. I think I'll be okay if I don't stay up too late tomorrow. I really just need to find someone who will do it on a weekly or bi-weekly basis who won't charge me an arm and a leg. I tried to get Dana to do it, but she seems uninterested. I guess she doesn't need the money that I was going to give her. Either that, or she is just being a lazy ass bum! LOL

June 12, 2004

tired?

::Currently listening to: Neve - It's Over Now::
Well in a short time I'll be back at SKF working my sixth 12-hour shift this week. They are being nice to us though; we are getting Sunday and Monday off. Well I say that being sarcastic of course, although it's hard to portray that here sometime. They are running out of parts for us to run.

When they first said we'd be doing this, I figured I'd be dead on my feet by the end of the week. Surprisingly I am not exactly. I am kind of tired, and somehow I have this feeling that tomorrow I'll just lay around and do much of nothing! I do need to go to the Outback one day while I am off. I'll have to wait and see how things go first.

I don't think I posted it here, but I finally got my raise. I should see it on my paycheck next week. That should be really good considering I'll have 72 hours on it! And this is a good thing too because not only do I have bills to pay, but I have a windshield to buy for my car.

Just a quick note

::Currently listening to: Moby (ft. Gwen Stefani) - Southside::

Just wanted a quick note to let everyone know that I am still alive. If you have any alternatives to FeedReader, please send them my way. My FR is fucking up lately and not updating for new posts. Jason had a job interview today too. I hope that went well for him. We all know he needs a job! Go bug him about it! Well, I have to run as I have to get to work.

It's my BIRTHDAY!

::Currently listening to: Audioslave - Set it Off::

Yep, that's correct, today is my birthday. I have not written in a while so I figured I'd give you suckers something to read for a change. I am not sure exactly how the evening will go. Jason and I are going out to eat, I'm pretty sure that Ricky and Millard are going to join us as well. I am thinking we might as well go to the Outback. I want to go there anyway, and it makes it easier to go to one place!

It hasn't been too bad of a day so far. I had to work through the night, which means I am going to sleep most of the day away! Well, I will be up about 3 or 4 to get ready to go off. My mom already got on the computer this morning and wished me a Happy Birthday. She said she was singing it and Duchess was howling. Somehow, I don't doubt that! LOL. She asked what I wanted and I told her that I wanted a DVD burner or a new hard drive. I should have told her that I wanted my truck fixed! I bet she would have liked that! Let's see if she complies or not. She might just wind up giving me the cash, which is OK too.

I have a lot of stuff going on at work right now, but I really don't want to get into it. I will try to write about it later. I know all of you (there are like two people who read this! LOL) are just dying to know what is going to happen come next week. Well let's just say I will still be on 12-hour night shift come next week. However it will be rotatings days off. So I won't be working 60 hours a week. More later --

Breaking NEWS!

Sorry, couldn't resit posting this when I saw it.

Ashcroft: Terrorists Planning 'Spectacular' Gay Weddings

* Gayer-than-usual Chatter Intercepted *

Attorney General John Ashcroft today revealed that the Justice Department has collected "credible evidence" that terrorists may be planning "spectacular" gay weddings to coincide with the 4th of July holiday weekend.

"There is little doubt that these evildoers intend to hit us hard, the best way they know how with spectacular, flamboyantly gay weddings," Mr. Ashcroft said.

Mr. Ashcroft hastened to add that the Department of Justice did not know where or when the weddings might take place, adding, "When terrorists are planning gay weddings, they don't send you an engraved invitation."

But the Attorney General said that, according to chatter intercepted by Justice Department agents, "There can be no doubt that these gay weddings will be the gayest ever."

Just minutes after Mr. Ashcroft concluded his remarks, however, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge made a statement that seemed, on the surface at least, to contradict the Attorney General's: "While there has been some increase in terrorist chatter, the chatter itself has been no gayer than usual."

Mr. Ridge conceded that the intercepted terrorist chatter contained "some gay content," such as effusive remarks about the actor Brad Pitt, but that Americans "should go about their 4th of July activities without worrying that a spectacular series of gay weddings is about to occur."

neglected

::Currently listening to: Sugarcult - Pretty Girl (The Way) ::

Do you feel that I have neglected you lately? It's been a fucked up week to say the least. I think in my last post I stated that I had to go to work at 630 AM Tuesday morning to find out where I would be placed. Well, since I figured I would be on a night shift, I stayed up most of the night and slept about two hours before going to this meeting. Well this meeting turned out to be another bunch of bullshit. One thing is they tell us that the decisions would be made Wednesday morning. The other thing was that we were expected to work on first shift Tuesday. I want you to imagine my surprise when they said that. I went there that morning not intending to work, so I didn't have my safety glasses, my ear plugs, my work shoes nor my lunch. So I told them. And believe it or not they were sort of nice and told me that I could go back home and come back and work second shift, but I'd have to be in at 630 Wednesday morning and work first shift. Well I guess that wasn't so bad. So that's what I did. I went back home and of course I couldn't go to sleep for anything. I think I slept about an hour before going back in on second. And after I got home Tuesday night I managed not to hit the sack until about 1230 or 1 AM. And of course I was right back up at 5 to get ready to be there at 630.

Let's just say Wednesday was a long fucking day. I didn't think 245 would ever roll around. It finally did tho. I finally found out Wednesday morning that I will be going to a night shift (big surprise there) and that I'll be working for Scot, whom I worked for last year when I first started. I hear a lot of people talk bad about him, but I actually liked him and think he's OK to work for. I hope everything goes well. I start that shift Sunday night. They wouldn't make us start until Wednesday night, but if we do that, we would only work 24 hours next week and they don't want that! I know I sure as hell wouldn't want that. It's gonna be bad enough getting a 40 hour check one week and a 36 hour check the next. Can you say "no Outback for Robbie for a while?" LOL

I'll be on working first shift the rest of the week. Wait, that's only one more day since I've taken so long to write about all this. But truthfully this is the only day when I've felt like doing anything. When I came home yesterday I Was asleep by now! I actually slept from about 530 yesterday afternoon until 5 AM this morning - with the exception of the hour or so I was up and online talking to Jason. I was thinking about asking them if I can go ahead and start my new shift Saturday night so I can have a better check next week. But I think I might just enjoy the time off. I will be off next weekend for sure. This is unless I volunteer to work, and I can't see this happening at this point!

Does anyone out there use Yahoo LaunchCast? Mine is acting really freaky lately. It used to do really good about playing a lot of songs that I had rated, but the last week or so it's not playing many songs I've rated. It is however playing artists that I have rated. I have written Yahoo about it, but it certainly isn't better. I think they are fucking with it, and they have it all screwed up right now. I know Jason said he was having problems with his song titles and such not updating. Mine are updating, but it's giving me a lot of shitty stuff. For instance, for the last ten songs it has played, only two of the songs I had rated. It used to be much better. Should I be looking for an alternative to it? And if so, what is there?

OK I think that's enough for now..

Can't sleep

::Currently listening to: Fuel - Falls On Me::

Don't you hate it when you just can't sleep? I know I went to be early last night - like 9PM - but hell I had been up since 5AM. I figured I'd sleep til about 5AM this morning, but no! About 4 I woke and couldn't go back to sleep. I think I had gotten used to sleeping in the day once again. My body just hasn't adjusted. I guess I don't really need to adjust now that this is my last day on first shift. Starting Sunday I'll be back on night shift.

The good thing with the new shift is that I will actually have days off. I am going to be off every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hell that means that if I want to make a trip somewhere for the weekend, it shouldn't be a problem whatsoever. Of course I am going to miss all the overtime I have been getting. But I'll survive. I might have to sign up to work a little overtime every now and then.

I am not really sure what I'll do this weekend. I think Jason and I are going to have supper over at his house tonight. I'll know for sure when I get off work I'll be off next weekend too, so no telling what I'll do then. I might try to actually paint my bedroom that I've been saying I was gonna do for two months. I think that sounds good. The bad thing is that everything will have to be taken out of here in order to do it. That means I'll be offline for a while so I can take the computers and stuff out of here.. I might be bad tho and hook my dsl modem straight into the laptop and hook it up in the living room! LOL That just is too bad. I know I'll have to hook up something in there so I'll still have some sound to listen to while I paint. I could turn on the stereo, but then I'd have to dig out my Cd's and I am not sure what I'll do there. The good thing about moving everything out of here is that everything will be nice and clean when I move it back in here! I might even rearrange my room a tad. I am not sure yet tho. But I still think I want to make a few changes.

I am very satisfied with the painting of the rest of the house. My living room is finally finished after months of procrastinating! I just have to buy new blinds and curtains to go in there. I will try to do that next week tho. We'll see what happens. I might wait a while. It depends on how my money situation goes too. I am still trying to save money to have my truck fixed too, and get that damn windshield fixed in the car.

Well I have rambled on long enough for now. Perhaps some of you should send me words of encouragement toward my upcoming projects! LOL I might need some sort of motivation to get going on them!

New book

::Currently listening to: Moby ft. Gwen Stefani - Southside::

OK I finally got tired of waiting on Ten Big Ones to arrive at the library for me. So I went ahead and just purchased the damn thing! So now you know what I'll be doing tonight! Jason's mom was nice and gave me One for the Money and Two for the Dough already. I just have to get books three thru nine now. (IF anyone wants to get me a late birthday present! LOL Hardback preferred!)

IF you decided to come by here over the last couple of days and nothing was here, well don't ask what was wrong. Because I certainly couldn't tell you. I know I was having some other network problems here too - among other things! But I hope everything is all better now.

I am off this weekend. I know one thing I really need to work on is getting this house cleaned. I was doing OK with it, but I managed to drag out a bunch of stuff and have left it. The good news is that I am just about completely finished painting - with the exception of the other bedroom (which is nothing more than a storage room). I don't think I am going to bother much in there on count of it would be too difficutl to move out all the stuff that is packed in there. And not to mention other than the Spongebob yellow paint, it doesn't look that bad. I can still paint the doors, and I will do that. But I have to make a trip to the paint store first because I am about out of trim color. I still have to do a little of the trim in here as well. But hopefully about two or three more hours worth and it will be all finished. And then I just have the task of getting all the window treatments done. But I'll worry about those after I get everything all nice and clean. And I might need some encouragement in cleaning as it's not my favorite task. For that matter I could always use some help doing it too! Any volunteers?

static

::Currently listening to: Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag ::

The static is gone. I just hope it's for good. I was getting a lot of static in my Logitech Z-560's when I turned the volume up and down. Sometimes I could stop it temporarily by using some compressed air on the volume knob. But the other night I changed the speaker wire going to my satellites. Luckily for me this set of speakers using regular speaker wire. I purchases this babies a little over two years ago. About a year or so ago I started getting the static problem. I never thought about changing those cables tho. I was reading somewhere a couple of weeks ago about reviews on the newer Z-680's and someone said the hissing sound associated with that line will go away when you use better speaker wire. I had been meaning to try this around here. I am not sure if this is completely solved the problem, but I hope it is. I know I have not changed out the wire going to the rear satellites and they still have static in them when i move the volume. So this seems to reason that it solves the problem. I will have to put up with those (or them them off or disconnected) until I go buy some new speaker wire. I really need to order a different set of wire, something like what I use on my speakers in the living room. I have Monster XP in there. I really like it, it's cheaper than regular Monster cable and works well for me. Also that wire is not quite as bulking and is nice and flexible. I have to also order the connector pins and some banana clips. That's the thing with my satellites, they have connectors for banana clips in the back. I stopped in Radio Shack the other day to purchase some banana clips. It wouldn't be so bad, but I really dislike the new layout of their stores, not to mention they are really overpriced. And anymore when I go in there, you cannot get anyone to help you. They just stand behind the counter and try to look busy. Maybe I should go visit one with a familiar face in it. I doubt I'll do that tho, because I am sure I can find what I need somewhere else - and cheaper too! LOL

In other news I finally upgraded to a static IP. I got tired of having to go and change my settings on my router each time I connected and got a new IP. And the way it seems Bellshit isn't going to upgrade my area to the higher speed DSL capability anytime soon. I guess I shouldn't complain too much tho. I mean except for some minor glitches here and there, I rarely have problems with my service. Well this was after they fixed my line problem last year. And I do seem to get about full speed across my line. I usually get about 1.4 megabit per second download speed, the max is 1.5. I would love to get the newer Xtreme package tho, the download speed is up to 3 megabits per second. That's what Ricky has. He got it a couple of months ago. If I remember correctly he gets about 2.5 megabit down. Of course it's not as fast as Jason's cable (which is like 4 megabit) but we don't have the downtime issues like Jason's been having lately! I guess each provider has it's good side and bad side. We just have to choose which one we want to deal with!

hmm.. made me laugh

I saw this article in the paper today while I was work. I just got a kick out it. How would you like your name to appear in the paper for this kind of story. This is taken from The Aiken Standard

Suspect sought for assaulting dog

By KAREN DAILY Staff writer

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is searching for a North Augusta man who police say sexually assaulted a brown and black dog behind an apartment complex in North Augusta Wednesday evening.

Deputies hold a buggery warrant for the arrest of Aquileo T. Recendiz, 26, of 111 Old Aiken Road, said agency spokesperson Lt. Michael Frank.

According to South Carolina law, "whoever shall commit the abominable crime of buggery, whether with mankind or with beast, shall, on conviction, be guilty of felony and shall be imprisoned in the penitentiary for five years or shall pay a fine of not less than $500, or both, at the discretion of the court."

"We have two witnesses who saw this individual whistle to the dog and lure the dog into his grasp," Frank said. "He then carried the dog into fenced area behind the apartment at 111 Old Aiken Road where he sexually assaulted the dog."'

Frank said a deputy responded and completed an incident report and interviewed Recendiz that evening.

"At the time we did not make an arrest because this is not the type of case we typically see so we had to research the South Carolina code of laws, and once we identified buggery as the proper charge, the investigator assigned to the case this morning obtained a warrant for his arrest."

Frank said police have searched for the man, but as of late Thursday had not located him.

He is described as a 26-year-old Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 120 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigator Chuck Cain at the Aiken County Sheriff's Office at 1-800-922-9709.

shaking head

::Currently listening to: Bon Jovi - Never Say Goodbye::

I am sitting here shaking my head. Ginny called me a little while to say my obituary was in the paper today. I thought that was kind of funny. Of course the middle name doesn't match mine when I actually went online to look. It could have been a good excuse to be off work - "Sorry I can't come to work today because I'm dead" LOL Daddy called right after that to ask when I was coming up there to help him move. I'm like never. As I told Krista Sunday (and either she didn't relay the message or someone wasn't listening) I have no days off. And honestly if I do have a day off work, why the hell would i want to spend it helping someone move? Hell if I have a day off I feel certain that I'll want to hit the Outback for happy hour!

I see that no one has volunteered to come mow the lawn for me. There was no need in trying to get up this morning to do it since it rained last night. I might try to do it tomorrow. We'll have to wait and see. I would be willing to bet that once I get my riding mower here, I wouldn't have to beg a certain someone to do it. Hell for that matter it would only take me like 35 or 40 minutes to do it so I really can't see paying someone to do it then. But I am going to try to get it done tomorrow. Ginny did say she would see if Eddie would bring my riding mower to me.

I am hoping in about three more weeks I'll be able to get the truck fixed. I am not holding my breath on it tho. Every time I think I am going to get it fixed something else comes up that requires the money I had saved for the truck. So I am crossing my fingers this time! We'll see. Wish me luck!

Well it's time for me to leave for work. It's going to be fun the next couple of days because of changeover. ICK! See y'all tonight when I come home - that is if I have anything worthwhile to write.

Another boring night

::Currently listening to: Bon Jovi - I'll Be There For You::

Yep, I am sitting here again for another boring night. Not much to do at this hour except stare at the four walls. This is more of the joys of working second shift. I did go over and visit with Regina for a bit. I had to go over and get my package that came for one thing. She took it from my porch because she thought it was going to rain and wasn't sure if it was something that would hurt to get wet. Well I am glad she was thoughtful enough for that. We sat and talked about work for a bit, but not much of anything of importance.

Not much happened at work today. Big whoop, right? The next couple of days are going to be kind of rough tho as the changeover is going on. And by the time we get all the bugs out and get everything running half way decent it will be time to changeover once again. There is still of course no word on having a day off. Certain people seem to think I am going to be going all out of my way to help them if I do have a day off. I have news for them, when I finally get a day off, I am probably going to just sit around the damn house all day and do nothing! I'll need some time to rest.

OK, so there are my few words for tonight.

still waiting

::Currently listening to: Puddle Of Mudd - Heel Over Head::

I'm still waiting for my day off. They claim that we'll be off next Sunday. I certainly am not holding my breath over it. I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Do you have people who seem to only contact you when they need something or have a question for you? I am to the point that I am so fucking tired of that I don't know what to do. I mean if you can't bother to talk to me just to say hey every now and then why the fuck do I need to bother answering your damn questions? I think that's what I am going to start doing - ignoring these people (no matter who the hell they are) who never bother to talk unless they want something.

OK i am off my soapbox now..

Off Sunday!

::Currently listening to: Don Henley - The Last Worthless Evening ::

Yep that's right! SKF is finally gonna give me a day off. Only after working for like 20 days straight! Damn I don't know if I can take this much longer! I don't know what I'll do with my day off. I have a feeling I'll sit around and just try to relax. I have not had enough time to do that lately. I really need to do some stuff around the house, but I doubt it'll get done! We'll see what happens. And you know no days off are complete without visiting the Outback. I am sure I'll go there too!

Well I am kind of tired tonight so I think I'll head on to bed.

Zebras, bears and vibrators

::Currently listening to: RA - Do You Call My Name::

Jason and I made an adventure trip to Riverbanks Zoo and the South Carolina State Museum today. It was rather enjoyable. It has been more years that I care to mention since I went to either of them. I will say it would have been better if some people would learn how to control their kids. It was just annoying with them jumping in front of me when I was trying to take picttures and such. It just made me want to slap a few of them! I could never deal with them from day to day. The gardens were pretty neat too. Those weren't there the last time I visted.

The museum wasn't bad either. But I will say by the time we had walked through it were were pretty tired on our feet. I think about the most amusing thing we saw was the "vibrator" that plugged into a light socket. Folks, I am not lying here! That is what the little description said on the tag, not back massager or anything, but VIBRATOR! I didn't think to take a picture of it. But I will next time I go there. OF course there is no telling when that will be. I know Regina wanted to go sometime, so we might go in a few weeks or something.

But all in all it was a good day. It was definately good to get out of here for a while. I would like to do it more often.

Fucking idiots

::Currently listening to: Beastie Boys - Paul Revere::

OK I need to get on my soapbox here for a few minutes. As some of you know, I had my screen name wyldrob with AOL for years. Well I finally decided to cancel that account last year. I mean why continue to support dumb asses like them, right? Anyway, it used to be that if you canceled your account, you could still use the name on AIM. Well that isn't the case anymore. Well I have wrote them a few times asking about the name and why I can't use it. I seem to get the same thing all the time, I can't use that name anymore. But what I am saying is that it has been over a year since I got rid of that account and it is still unavailable! I mean , what the fuck kind of bullshit is that? They are just so damn stupid.

This is the email I got :

Hello! I am Lewis from America Online (AOL). I appreciate the time you've spent writing to us and that you have given me the chance to help you with any concerns or issues you have.

I understand from your recent e-mail that you have canceled your AOL account, but would like to retain the Screen Name for use with AIM.

Keeping your AOL account maintains your current Screen Name. Your friends and family recognize you by that Screen Name. But, if you cancel your AOL membership, you will not be able to use any Screen Name on your AOL account with AIM. So keeping your Screen Name means you are still part of the largest and best online community. Which is great for you because you can stay in contact with all of your family and friends and always find someone who shares your interests.

I would suggest that you may try or create another screen name that are available on the service.

Lewis C.
Customer Care Consultant
The TechMail Department
America Online, Inc.

OK well Lewis, obviously you didn't read my email, because I clearly stated that it has been a year and I want to know why the name is still unavailable. You failed to mention that didn't you? You stupid ignorant asshole. You need to be put in front of a firing squad for being such a dumb ass and not being able to read! Another thing you ignorant cunt, I have another name to use on AIM. I had to create that last year and then go around changing everything when I could no longer use wyldrob! Geez, some people.

OK, I am off my soapbox. This might be an ongoing thing, I'll wait til I get the next email from them. Might be fun. I am going to keep bugging them until someone can give me some answers!

On a brighter note, I am going to the Outback later with Jason and Ricky. That should be lots of fun. It's going to suck in a way because I can't drink right now. Well, at least I am not supposed to drink. I might just break down and have one little drink. Who knows. But it should still be OK.

What are you up to?

::Currently listening to: Garbage - Stupid Girl::

Yeah it has been a while since I actually posted to this thing. But to answer the question "what am I up to?" Let's just say that I am sitting here drinking hot chocolate and listening to music. I was watching Daria and I'll probably watch a few more episodes of it before I actually go to bed.

In the last week and a half, I have tried to catch up on all the CSI episodes that I ahve missed. I think I have watched about 50 episodes, some of which I have seen before. I am counting down the days until Thursday when the season premiere comes on! Can you say "I have no life?" Yeah, it's true and I admit that readily. I certainly have no damn life at this point.

And tonight was a chance to prove how old I am getting. I was outside with the kids from the neighborhood. Well we have this thing about running after Vince (because he claims he can outrun everyone). Well I caught up with him and should have tackled his little ass, but I decided to let him pass - so I could throw the fruit at him that I had in hand. Yeah go figure, throwing fruit at the "fruitboy" as he has became to be known. He still doesn't know what we mean by it. I am sure he will one day, but for right now, it's funny teasing him about it. But after that ordeal I could really feel it in my back. I guess I really shouldn't be out there doing shit like that when my back is already hurt. But it's kind of fun actually.

Ricky came by for a little while tonight. It was interesting as we went through some of my old pictures. Ricky says I have changed a lot and some of the pics of me didn't indeed look like me. Oh well, I didn't think I had changed that much. Maybe I have though.

I don't have the joy of posting through Zempt anymore. Somehow my account in MT has gottened fucked. So I don't have the luxury of things like spell check and the auto fill in for the "currently playing". I don't know what is wrong, but I certainly wish it would miraculously fix itself! I know that won't happen though. Maybe someone can explain what needs to be done to fix it. I can log in just fine thru the web interface, but it gives me an invalid login error when I try to post via Zempt. Jason posted/emailed Six Apart about the problem, but so far he hasn't received a response to my knowledge. And I know none of you will know what to do. Hell most of you probably don't even know what the fuck I am talking about here. Let's just say I get used to things really easy, and I have gotten used to Zempt and I don't like change. Like change in having to now use the web interface once again to post my stuff! Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. I think I can still post jokes via Zempt, but my blog doesn't even show up in Zempt anymore :-(

So I guess that's it for now, you should encourage me to post more!

No more PT

::Currently listening to: Beastie Boys - Brass Monkey::

I finished what will be my last physical therapy session - at least for right now. I visited with the doctor today, now they are sending me to have an MRI done. I am sure that will be fun. Sitting in this machine and having to be perfectly still for about an hour and a half while they do this procedure. Sounds fun, eh?

I also had dinner with Ginny today - pizza! So that makes two days in a row I've had that. That's what Regina gave me yesterday! I wonder who will invite me for supper tomorrow. I will have to wait and see.

I still need scan some more pictures. I scanned a bunch yesterday, but I have more that I want to get done. Boy, I wish I had a digital camera ten years ago (or longer in some cases) when all these pics were taken. I might post one or two of me when I was a lot younger when I get them scanned. I know you all just want to see those. And for some of you, you will telling me how it doesn't look like me! At least I have access to a scanner so I can get these pics done. I finally finished all the pics of Regina's class. We had to pic on this one boy and give me a couple of different hairdos. We gave him one of the old Kid N Play flattops. I am not sure if you remember who that is, but it's from the late 80's or early 90's. I also did another one tonight with a big afro. I am sure he will love that one. I can't wait to hear about his reaction. Should be funny. He kind of laughed at the flattop one. Well he especially laughed at it until he found out it was himself! Anyway, it was fun. And it is giving me some more experience with PhotoShop!

Well that's all for now! I might have some more stories for you later. Just keep your fingers crossed!

WooHoo Excitement!

::Currently listening to: Velvet Revolver - Big Machine::

Ever been home all alone and look up and see lights flashing outside your house? Well that's what happened to me tonight. I was gonna sit down and watch a movie. I went in to get the lesbian dogs so they could lie with me. I looked up and thru the blinds I saw flashing lights. I'm like "What the fuck?"!! I turned out all the lights inside to get a peek ouside and looked out and saw blue lights. Well my first thought is "Who the hell is going to jail tonight?" But it was nothing like that at all. I slipped my shoes on and walked out and not only were there blue lights (they were right in my yard) but red lights as well. Turns out there was a fire up the road and the Sheriff's Dept. was blocking traffing from going up the road. I hear they are now at the end of the road and not letting people up. But the fire trucks keep coming up the road to fill up the tanks. They have no hydrant closer to where the fire is. And I guess they don't want hoses stretched from here to the end of the road! But it was a good enough fire they have two fire departments here!

Yeah, so that is my excitement for the evening. I might have a look out again before I go to bed. But right now, I am going to watch my movie. From what I gathered is they don't think anyone was home at this place that burned. I certainly hope not. I would hate to hear someone died in a fire. That would have to be an awful way to have to die. And that reminds me, I need to get new batteries for my smoke detectors!

waiting..

I finally had my MRI done Thursday. I was able to sit through the entire thing after I couldn't last week. I was in too much damn pain then. This time the good doctor gave me a valium. I was starting to hurt once again toward the end, as the valium was wearing off. If there is a next time I will tell him to give me a stronger dose!

Daddy is supposed to go to the hosipital next week. He's gotta have open heart surgery. I hope things go well for him. He was supposed to go down on Monday and then have the surgery on Thursday. Well he found out today they have changed the dates. He now has to go on Wednesday and they will do the surgery the following Monday. It's a realy pain in the ass because I was making plans for next week. I was going to take him there the first part of the week and then go visit with Mom. Now I am not sure how I will do things. I am thinking that I 'll go visit Mom first of the week for a couple of days and then come home mid-week. I'll have to get my sister's kids Wednesday since she's taking Daddy down to the hospital. They'll have to spend the night with me Wednesday night and I'll have to get up and get them to school Thursday. You know I'm not gonna be happy about that as I like getting up late, not early! So everyone might want to steer clear of me that day until you know I'm in a decent mood! LOL. I'll probably try to come home and go back to bed, but I don't know how well that will work. I guess I'll find out Thursday.

some new stuff

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here! And it is so nice for all of you to point that out to me. OF course if you have not gathered, I am being really sarcastic here! Only one person has said something about me not posting here lately. Truth is that I have not had a lot to say on here.

In case you have not noticed, I have did a little work on my site lately. I now have links to all the pages (or the major pages) on my blog page. It took me a little while to get that one figured out, but it's working now. I thought I was gonna have to wait til later when a certain someone (you know who you are, so don't gloat about it on here!) was around to help me figure out what was wrong. But I am glad that I figured it out on my own. It gives me great satisfaction knowing that I can figure out my own problems. Well, at least I can sometime!

Daddy is going to Charleston later today. I was about to type tomorrow then I realized it's like 5:35AM Sunday morning! He is due this time tomorrow morning at MUSC. He's having open-heart surgery. I talked to him yesterday and I think he's finally worried about it. I don't think he's given it much thought until the last few days. OF course, I could be wrong, but that is the way it seems. They have postponed the surgery twice already because he wouldn't give up his cigarettes. This is even after they have given him one of those new pills that will help you to quit. Of course it could be like his other medicine too, which he doesn't take like he is supposed to do so. I just hope all is well with his surgery and that he has a speedy recovery. I don't think I am going down the day of the surgery. I am thinking that I might go down about mid-week. I am unsure what exactly I'll do yet.

I am still on the lookout for a new job. I still can't believe the doctor's advice to me was to find a new job. I had already been looking before he said that. I am hoping to get something soon. I keep sending out my resume and stuff each time I see something that looks promising. But looking for a job can be a bitch. This is even worse when I am picky about what I want to do. I don't want to do retail for one! I've had enough of that and a damn call center. I don' t think you could pay me enough to work in a call center again! So again, I ask anyone who reads this - if you know any good jobs out there, point them out to me!

Well I guess that is all for now. I really should try to post here more frequently. I know I always say that and never do. Maybe you should just give me more encouragement!

Where you been?

:: Currently listening to: Marcy Playground - St. Joe on the School Bus ::

Is anyone asking this? I've been around here and there. If you have been keeping up with my site, you will notice that I have added a new page on here. It's News of the Weird. You can click the link on the left. It's just about dumb crooks and weird news that I run across in my daily encounters with the web. I think you'll find some of it very funny. I know I certainly do!

Not much else going on. I've been sitting home a good bit. Not a whole lot I can do. And I figure it's best to stay here and keep out of trouble. Of course I really don't have to leave the house to get in trouble. I think I've proved this theory numerous times!

Maybe one day I'll find something more interesting to put on here. Right now, I just don't know anything. I am still on the lookout for a new job. So if you know where I can find a job that doesn't require a lot of physical labor, then feel free to let me know. I keep applying and sending my resume out, but I have not had any luck yet. I hope to have some soon!
